Option D · SupplyRunner Managed Distribution
Supply the goods. SupplyRunner manages the customer-facing transaction.
Some suppliers want to fulfil orders but do not want to adopt another software platform or participate directly in the SupplyRunner Network. Managed Distribution gives those suppliers another route to market.
Under an agreed arrangement
- SupplyRunner manages the buyer relationship
- SupplyRunner sets the buyer-facing selling price within the agreed commercial framework
- SupplyRunner invoices the buyer
- SupplyRunner collects buyer payment
- The managed supplier provides the agreed products and fulfils and delivers the order
- The supplier's net price and fulfilment obligations are agreed in advance
- SupplyRunner retains the difference between the buyer selling price and supplier net price as its gross distribution margin
Serve customers without joining the SupplyRunner Network.
Best for
Suppliers that want to supply products through SupplyRunner without becoming active platform participants.
The supplier can continue using its existing operational processes, subject to the agreed order-confirmation, fulfilment and service requirements. Managed Distribution is a separate commercial model from normal Network participation.
How Managed Distribution works
A straightforward commercial workflow.
- 01
Products and terms are agreed
SupplyRunner and the supplier agree the product range, supplier net prices, service area, availability process, delivery expectations, order minimums, returns and claims process, and settlement terms.
- 02
The buyer places an order with SupplyRunner
The buyer experiences SupplyRunner as the customer-facing seller for the transaction.
- 03
SupplyRunner confirms the order
Orders are processed against agreed commercial rules and available supplier-confirmation or inventory information.
- 04
SupplyRunner invoices and collects payment
The buyer receives the SupplyRunner invoice and pays SupplyRunner under the applicable payment terms.
- 05
The supplier fulfils and delivers
The managed supplier receives the order or fulfilment instruction, confirms where required, and supplies the contracted goods.
- 06
Delivery and settlement are reconciled
Delivery evidence, shortages, claims, returns and supplier settlement are handled under the agreed operating and commercial terms.
